Shishapangma Expedition - Day(s)

The Shishapangma Expedition is popular as the 14th highest peak of the world. This peak is about 8000m high from the sea level and most of people considered it as one of the easiest mountaineering adventures. Shishapangma mountain is highest peak in Langtang Himal, located totally within Tibet in central Homalaya. This peak is known as “Gosaitan” in  Nepali which means “The Holy Place”. The Tibetan name is “Xixapangma” which means literally "The Mountain overlooking the grassy plains” perfectly describing the location of the mountain as seen from north among vast rolling hills covered by green short-grass and incredible boulders. Chinese climber named Hsu Ching and his ten friends team had made first successful Shishapangma Expedition ascent to the summit in 1964  and it was finally opened to foreign teams in 1980. We will lead through Strewn valleys for basecamp which provide an eerie and stunningly beautiful environment for summit. You will get chance to explore the Shishapangma National Park full of beautiful and varities of wild birds and animals such as antelope, deer, fox, gazelles and yaks.

Day 01:         Arrive in Kathmandu International airport and transfer to Hotel.

Day 02-03:    Permit preparations for the Expedition and short briefing

Day 04:        Kathmandu - Zhangmu.

Day 05:         Zhangmu - Nyalam.

Day 06:        Nyalam - Tingri.

Day 07:        Tingri - Dopzang La (5135 M).

Day 08:        Acclimatization Day.

Day 09:        Base Camp - Advanced Base Camp.

Day 10:        Acclimatization (Advanced Base Camp).

Day 11-37:    Climbing Period.

Day 38:        Return To Advanced Base Camp.

Day 39:        Return To Base Camp.

Day 40:        Continue To Zangmu.

Day 41:        Zangmu - Kathmandu.

Day 42-43:   Free day for shopping in Kathmandu and rest

Day 44:       Departure to Kathmandu International airport and back home.
