Tsum Valley trek is a hidden treasure trekking destination in Nepal. This trekking region is culturally rich and extremely beautiful Himalayan scenery can be seen. It is a sacred Himalayan pilgrimage and untouched valley situated in northern Gorkha district of Nepal. The trek ascends follow Buri Gandaki River. Tsum valley (part of the Inner Himalaya) opens from Chhokangparo, where hospitable local people (Tibetan group "Tsombo") welcome you with traditional Tibetan tea (cheya) and local meal. The Tsum Valley is extremely rich in cultural assets. Tsum Valley is known as the Beyul Kyimolung, the holy and hidden valley of happiness, first described by Guru Rimpoche (Padmasambhava) in the eighth century. Milarepa meditated in the caves of Piren Phu and there are centuries old nunneries. The valley is dotted with gompas (Buddhist monasteries), chortens and mani walls. The longest mani walls (over 250m) are at Dzong and Phurpe. The valley preserves steps of the great Buddhist Yogi Chyuchin Milarepa and story about Guru Padmasambhava circumbulation. The people here never slaughter animals, even as sacrifice to the gods.

The Tsum Valley is surrounded by the Buddha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south, and Sringi Himal to the North. The Tsum valley trekking lies in Manasalu region .The attractive views of Himalchuli (7893m.), Manasalu 8163m, Ganesh Himal, Ngadi Chuli (7879m.) or (peak 29),Sringi Himal and other mountains, beautiful varied landscape and different flora and fauna are wonderful. This part is also incomparable beauty and rich blend of Tibetan and Nepalese culture offer a true adventure for visitors to Nepal. Here you will find the mountains and valleys covered with diverse and pristine eco-systems, fantastic mountain views with rich culture. Many trekkers would like to trek this part. Tea house or lodge has been built now. You can do camping trek as well as tea house trek. If you do tea house trekking, there is simple accommodation and food are of Nepalese dishes.

Day 01 Kathmandu-Gorkha drives 6-7 hours by bus and trek 1 hour to Kalikathan (1,300m) and O/N at Tent.

Day 02: Kalikathan-Gairigoun (1,200m), trek 5-6 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 03: Gairigoun-Thala (1,600m), trek 6-7 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 04: Thala- Sambai (2,800m) via Darche Pass(3,200m), trek 7-8 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 05: Sambai-Laprak (2,200m), trek 4-5 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 06: Laprak-Khorlabesi (1,000m), trek 7-8 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 07: Khorlabesi-Jagat (1,000m), trek 5-6 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 08: Jagat-Lokpa (1,800m), trek 6-7 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 09: Lokpa-Chumling (2,285m) trek 6-7 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 10: Chumling-Chhokangparo (3,010m) trek 7-8 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 11: Chhokangparo-Acclimatization day.

Day 12: Chhokangparo-Chhule (3,347m) trek 4-5 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 13: Chhule- Mu Gumpa (3,580m) trek 5-6 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 14: Mu Gumpa-Rachen Nunnery (2,405m) trek 6-7 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 15: Rachen Nunnery-Dumje (2,405m) trek 7-8 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 16: Dumje-Gumba Lungdan (3,310m) trek 6-7 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 17: Gumba Lungdan-Ganesh Himal Base Camp (3,800m) trek 6-7 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 18: Ganesh Himal Base Camp-Ripchet (2,500m) trek 7-8 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 19: Ripchet-Jagat (1,570m) trek 7-8 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 20: Jagat-Khorla Besi, (960m) trek 6-7 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 21: Khorla Besi-Soti (700m) trek 6-7 hours and O/N at Tent.

Day 22: Soti-Kathmandu drives 10-11 hours by bus and O/N at Hotel.
