Trek start at Sundarijal
Sundarijal Chisapani trek is most amazing and most suitable place for hiking which makes different feeling of disappear in nature with best scene of natural resources, beautiful villages, terrace with hanging seasonal crops like mustard and wheat etc. It also offers magnificent mountain views with long range of eastern Himalayas from Langtang to Gaurishankar ranges. From Sundarijal we starts trekking following dense forest, villages, terraces and oak rhododendron forest and also can meet various kind of animals. In the early morning we can enjoy the sunrise view at Nagarkot which is the most fascinating and mesmerising view in this trek. Then we will leads down from Nagarkot along a ridge to the temple of Changu Narayan in which we will enjoy the views of Sankhu village to the right and Bhaktapur to the left. Once you finished the trek you will drive back to the Kathmandu.
Days 01: Trek to Chisapani (2300m) - 5/6 hours walk- Overnight at Lodge/Tea House
Prive transportation drive to Sundarijal (1350m), it is about one hour and then walk uphill to Chisapani. The unpaved road from Kathmandu turns into a trail near a small hydroelectric plant. The trail passes through the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. The first settlement you will come across is Mulkharka with Tamang inhabitants. The route heads down the ridge through the forest of oaks and rhododendron to Chisopani (2300m.). Chisopani is cold for its weather. It has magnificent views from Annapurna to Everest. Stay overnight at lodge
Day 02: Trek to Shivapuri (2732), trek down to Budanilkhantha – 6/7 hours walk
The trail from Chisapani continues to ascend along the ridgeline in the west. Walk through forest and less marked trail. It is easy walk because of gradual ascend and level trail. Descend to Budanilkhantha, a small town situated on the slop to the north of Kathamndu. Drive to Kathamndu and drop up in hotel.
